Obama makes history....AGAIN!!!

Barack Obama has finally announced his full National Security team:

Hillary Clinton, U.S. Senator from New York and former First Lady, will serve as Secretary of State.

Secretary Robert Gates, the current Secretary of Defense, will continue to serve in that role.

Eric Holder, former Deputy Attorney General and a former United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, will serve as Attorney General.---First African American!!

Janet Napolitano, Governor and former U.S. Attorney for Arizona, will serve as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

Dr. Susan E. Rice, a Senior Foreign Policy Advisor to the Obama for America campaign, a Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution, and former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, will serve as Ambassador to the United Nations. (no relation 2 Condaleeza Rice!!)

General Jim Jones, USMC (Ret), former Allied Commander, Europe, and Commander of the United States European Command, will serve as National Security Advisor.

Barack's national security team has been assembled to represent all elements of American power, diplomacy, and leadership that will be vital in overcoming the challenges of the 21st century.

Obama said he’s been reading a lot of the late Abraham Lincoln’s writings to gain wisdom & insight from such a wise leader.

He has also mirrored Lincoln’s approach to cabinent choices by having a diverse group of people as opposed to the ‘group think’ approach which picks a cabinent of people of like ideologies.

This is a good way to go when making important national security decisions b/c discussion can occur.
This is much better than Bush’s approach; what is the point of being surrounded by a bunch of ‘yes men!!’ DUH Politics as usual....

What da hell is 'The Experience Machine?'

'The Experience Machine' is a thought experiment created by philospher and Harvard professor Rober Nozick.

This experiment was created as objection to the moral theory of Hedonism: the idea that something is good if and only if it produces pleasure [and minimizes pain.]

Here's the experiment:

Imagine a machine that could give us all desirable and pleasurable experiences that we could possibly dream of (like the machine in the matrix.) We would not be able to tell the experiences were not totally authentic.

Here's the kicker:

If given the choice, would you, or anyone else for that matter,choose the machine over real life??

He concludes that not many people, if any, would chose the experience machine over real life. Thus, people clearly care about more in life than simply the experience of pleasure. ;-)

So what do you think? And what would you do??

And what else is there 2 care about other than experiences??? Hmmmmm....

Its soooooo much positive stuff out there for people to invest time in but instead people choose 2 waste time on PETTY stupid crap i.e. gossip, childishness, bitchassness etc etc. So Im encouraging people to get out and live life because its a beautiful thing. Dont let anyone or anything put a damper on what God made you to be: an INDIVIDUAL.]
